Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnamese Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh), formerly named Saigon (Vietnamese Sài Gòn pronunciation (help·info)) is the largest city in Vietnam. It was once known as Prey Nokor, an important Khmer sea port prior to annexation by the Vietnamese in the 17th century.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 HOCHIMINH ARRIVAL (D)  Upon Saigon arrival, meet and greet at airport, transfer to hotel for check-in. Dinner at Halal Food Restaurant.  Day 2 CU CHI TUNNELS - CITY TOUR (B, L, D)  Breakfast at hotel. Private trip to Cu Chi Tunnels, well known under American War Time – an underground network of 200km  long. During the world of independence, Vietnamese guerillas built the labyrinth of narrow tunnels virtually underneath U.S.  bases, using them to hide during bombing raids and to stage surprise attacks. Transfer back to Hochiminh City for lunch at  Halal Food Restaurant. Continue with city tour- visit Muslim Mosque, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and  Central Post Office. Then shopping at Miss Ao Dai Center and Phuong Nam Lacquer Ware Factory. Dinner.  Day 3 HOCHIMINH CITY – VUNG TAU (B, L, D)  Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Vung Tau City. Have lunch – Seafood. After that, visit Memorial Statue of Saint George (30m  high) on small mountain – the highest Saint statue in Vietnam, Nirvana Buddhist Temple (Niet Ban Tinh Xa), the most beautiful  temple in Vung Tau on hill – slope facing the sea, White Palace. Dinner – Seafood.  Day 4 VUNG TAU – HOCHIMINH CITY (B, L, D)  Breakfast at hotel. Depart to local fishing village, Whale Temple. Free on beach. After lunch, transfer back to Hochiminh City  and stop for shopping at Saigon Square, Hong Anh Collection and Ben Thanh Market. Dinner – Halal Food.  Day 5 HOCHIMINH CITY DEPARTURE (B)  Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure until transfer to airport for the departure flight.
