This tour will take 3 hours and will cover part of Brunei’s history, religion, culture, heritage and daily life of locals. This tour includes two photo stops: First – outside the royal palace, Istana Nurul Iman (which means “The Palace of Light”) which is the biggest residential palace in the world with 1788 rooms and second – a photo stop of The Water Village or popularly known as “The Venice of The East”, along the roadside. Visit the magnificently built mosque, The Jame Asr’ Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque which has twenty-nine 24K golden-topped domes (All mosques are closed for inside visits on Thursday and Friday). The National Museum is where guests can learn about Brunei’s Muslim heritage, view the rare Islamic collection of His Majesty, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, natural history collection, cultures and traditions of the locals, sunken treasures and the foundation of Oil and Gas industry. The Royal Regalia is home to a collection of royal regalia including the royal chariot, gold and silver ceremonial armory and most importantly, His Majesty’s jewel encrusted crown that was used during his coronation in 1968.  |
